The Longest Yard
The Longest Yard, featuring Burt Reynolds, was a very interesting movie to say the least. I wouldn't refer to it as being interesting as in award worthy but moreso, damn this shit is boring. I definitely prefer the remake over the original because they made the film from a comedic perspective rather than a dramatic one. I think this is what made the film so boring due to actors not being able to fully portray a dramatic role. The two movies basically followed the same timeline as each other, give or take a few scenes. The only thing I found exciting in the movie was when Burt Reynilds character was being chased by the police and that was longer than it should have been. Now from a filming perspective, I loved how the cameras captured the chase and I also loved how they incorporated so many aspects of the football game shown in the movie. I definitely will not be viewing this movie again because the remake has this original beat hands down.
