Reservoir Dogs
Director : Quentin Tarantino
Year:1992

The movie starts off with a bunch of over the shoulder shots of a bunch of men in suits talking at a restaurant. One thing I noticed right away that not only did Quentin Tarantino direct the movie, he also acts in it as well. The film then cuts to a close up shot of one of the men yelling he is going to die and is bleeding from his stomach and the viewer has absolutely no idea why.  We soon learn that a cop shot him after the guys were trying to carry out a robbery.  One of the guys thinks that someone had told the cops about the robbery because the cops showed up to fast. I like the way that the film showed how one of the robbers gets free from the cops and gets to safety. The movie soon teaches that the older man “Joe” hired all of these men to carry out these robberies for him and they are all using fake names and none of these men know each other. All of the men have names like Mr. and some color.  These flashbacks are reoccurring throughout the film which lets the viewer know more about what had went on and who could possibly be the “rat”, the men’s first encounter with Joe, and more about how the robbery occurred.  The men all end up in the warehouse and turn on each other because nobody knows who called the cops or who was trying to take the diamonds all for themselves. Everyone is pointing their guns at each other including the big boss Joe they all shoot each other and only a few of the men still survive and Mr. Pink runs off with the diamonds from the warehouse. Mr.White and Mr. Orange who are seen at the beginning of the movie in the car are the only two remaining men in the warehouse that are still somewhat alive. Mr. Orange tells Mr.White that he is the cop and just when Mr.White looks like he is going to shoot him a bunch of cops come in and shoot Mr.White instead.  Overall I thought the movie was really well put together and had a good storyline that kept the viewer interested in the movie. All the shots worked really well, there were good high and low angle, over the shoulder and close up shots that made the movie realistic. The acting was also pretty good and the viewer can really understand the story that is trying to be portrayed.
