Of Mice and Men is a movie based on the book with the same title. I read this book in 9th grade but never saw the movie. Now that I saw the movie, the whole entire book plot came back to me. The movie takes place during the depression when two friends Lennie and George to go around the country trying to better their lives. The movie stats out with George in a train looking back on things that had just occurred. He thinks about how him and Lennie fled from their work after Lennie was accused of raping a woman after he touched her dress. They finally find work at Tyler ranch and their dreams of a better life start to look up. The one handed man that also works at the ranch Candy, offers to help the two buy the ranch. That dream is gone pretty quick because Lennie killed the wife of Curley the son of the ranch owner. George knew that Curley was going to come after Lennie and try to kill him for what he did, so instead when Lennie had his head turned George shoots him in his head so Curley wont be able to kill him. The movie then ends up going back to the George in the train still thinking about Lennie and their dream.  This movie was very well made and I did not mind watching it at all. The acting was also very good and extremely believable. I also liked how they used a flashback of what George was thinking about because it really brings the viewer into the story and the emotion of the film. But the story behind it is just so sad, and because Lennie had mental problems he had to lose his life over it and could not make his own decisions.
