Sister Act was a hilarious comedy starring Whoopi Goldberg as a witness to a crime hiding out in a nun convent until the criminal in question is put in jail. Needless to say there is humor in even just hearing the plot line of this well written movie.

A scene that stuck out to me most in this movie was when Dolores realizes that the mink coat Vince just gave her as a present was actually in fact his wife’s coat. In a fit of rage the audience switches back and forth between two scenes, the first being Dolores making her way through the club in Vegas where they work, and then the scene flashes to Vince and 3 other men in his office about to shoot a man. The way this is filmed puts the audience on edge because they know that Dolores is going to find Vince and witness him murder an innocent man. This string of scenes really opens up the plot of the movie and the audience gets a taste of each character’s personality.
